Interns Wanted! Engineers, Geologists & Hydrogeologists

Hargis + Associates, Inc. is pleased to offer paid internships in our San Diego and Sacramento, CA and Phoenix and Tucson, AZ offices. These positions are geared toward engineering, geology and environmental students interested in an exciting and educational opportunity. Interns will have the opportunity to work with top engineers and hydrogeologists and gain real-world experience on environmental remediation and groundwater related projects.

Dependent upon project needs, interns may assist with office related tasks such as data entry and manipulation, graphics, report documentation and other project tasks. There will also be opportunity for assistance and training with data collection and various types of fieldwork depending on project needs.

Candidates must have the physical ability to conduct field work tasks, have completed basic water-related engineering/geologic courses, have an upper-division status, and have a strong interest in a career in environmental remediation or water resources. Candidates should have excellent communication and computer skills and enjoy a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Local candidates preferred, no relocation provided.


  • 2-3 years higher education in Engineering, Construction Management, Geology, Environmental Science or related field.
  • Knowledge of MS Word Office Suite Products.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher. (Company sponsorship may be available for HAZWOPER training)
  • May be required to travel up to 50% of the time to project sites; valid driver’s license.
