Water is the life blood of our business at Hargis + Associates. Finding, developing, distributing and managing water resources is becoming increasingly important. We are ready to apply integrated hydrogeological and engineering expertise to all types of water resource projects. Our technical staff is formally trained in water resource science and engineering and our principals are nationally recognized experts in water resources.
We have worked on projects that focus on many of the key issues in western water development. Our extensive experience spans over three decades and makes us uniquely qualified to build on our history and develop proven, executable, cost-effective solutions to meet your needs.
We can assist with a variety of related services including:
|
- Aquifer storage and recovery assessments;
- Saltwater intrusion and geochemical assessments;
- Permitting assistance;
- Design and construction of groundwater supply wells, recharge wells, and filtration basins;
- Assured water supply evaluations;
- Basinwide water budgets and interbasin water transfer studies;
- Water rights evaluations;
- Groundwater/surface water interactions;
- Groundwater flow and solute transport modeling;

Whatever the need of our clients, we are prepared to apply our knowledge and experience to develop cost efficient and expedient solutions. For example, on behalf of a Fortune 500 firm, we assisted in resolving water resources issues associated with a property transaction. Using our knowledge of desert basin hydrogeology and freshwater/brine interactions, we integrated over 80 years of groundwater data into a computer model. This model served as the basis for identifying and projecting alternative water management scenarios over the expected 30-year design lifetime of the project. All of this work, including a formal executive report, was started and completed within a 45-day period. This effort enabled the Corporate Board of Directors to proceed with critical project decisions.
