Staff Engineer

Overview:

Hargis + Associates, Inc. is looking for a motivated and experienced Staff Engineer to join our San Diego Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Process, civil, mechanical, and electrical design
  • Program cost/schedule updates
  • System construction oversight
  • Preparation of engineering cost estimates
  • Report preparation
  • Task management
  • Preparation of regulatory compliance submissions
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal direction in performing most tasks and assignments.

Requirements:

  • Experience with CA regulations for site remediation engineering preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • OSHA 40-hr. HAZWOPER training preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Project; AutoCAD a plus
  • Excellent organizational and written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in system design and construction oversight
  • Travel to temporary assignments and time in the field will be required
